Within the ISD development model, our strategies encompass educationally proven teaching models and techniques that are derived from solid learning theories. Learning theories and teaching models are integrated into our technology solutions, not considered a separate component.
- Learning Integration: Deliberate Facilitation v Incidental Learning
Our diverse background in facilitation, education, technology, and instructional design allows us to identify opportunities for integrating curriculum. We are strong proponents of cumulative learning and positive learning transfer. In integrating technology appropriately within learning opportunities, incidental learning can become strategically identified and integrated within a curriculum, course, or module as a secondary learning objective that is facilitated and measured.
- Learning Partnerships: Facilitation v Teaching and Instruction
This is about good facilitation and learning, not "training". Our professionals form partnerships with their learners to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, recognize learning opportunities in the synchronous learning environment, and understand how to create learning opportunities in the asynchronous environment. Asynchronous learning is viewed as a tool for establishing "readiness to learn" for hybrid learning events.
